Description
A little porcelain-garden drama for the dressing table.
A vintage Stratton Empress powder compact with a white lid decorated in colourful flowers and deep blue ornamental detailing. The floral centre brings together pink, orange, yellow and blue blooms with green foliage, while the blue border and scalloped gold-tone edge frame the design beautifully.
Open the hinged compact to find a mirror in the lid and the circular powder well below. The gold-tone reverse has a finely lined texture and carries the Stratton mark.
This is a used vintage piece. The mirror has visible foxing and dark spots, particularly toward one area; it will not give a pristine reflection. Please look closely at the photographs for the condition of the lid, metalwork and interior. No puff, sifter, powder, pouch or other accessories are included. Sold as the compact alone.
