Rare Vintage Stratton Powder Compact, Red Crystal and Marcasite Panel, Rectangular Gold-Tone Case, Original Sifter and Puff
Description
A flash of red against rippling gold, a small jewelled accent with the presence of a seal.
This vintage Stratton powder compact sets a rectangular decorative panel against a finely textured gold-tone lid. Rows of square red accents sit between narrow silver-coloured divisions, flanked by small metallic faceted stones. The seller identifies the decoration as red crystal and marcasite; no ruby or precious-metal claim is made.
The rectangular case has clipped corners and restrained edging, letting the jewelled panel provide its focal point. Inside, a rectangular mirror faces a hinged powder cover decorated with linear bands and the Stratton hand-and-compact emblem. Made in England and patent markings are visible near the hinge.
Vaen’kai Vault considers this example especially rare. That assessment is recorded without claiming a production quantity, named model, or precise manufacture date.
