Vintage Margaret Rose Powder Compact, Emerald Green Enamel, Gold Sunburst, New, Sifter & Puff Included

There is a colour that does not ask permission to be in the room. This compact arrived in it.

The lid is a deep, lacquered emerald green, the kind of green that has opinions, and at its centre a gold sunburst radiates outward in a ring of elongated petals, each one catching the light at a slightly different angle depending on how the compact sits in the hand. It is a design that belongs somewhere between a botanical illustration and a medieval illumination: precise, deliberate, and entirely sure of itself. The reverse is a warm brushed gold-tone, clean and unadorned, letting the lid do what it was born to do.

New, never used. Sifter and puff present. No original packaging, but some things arrive in the Vault having already shed what they no longer need.
