Description

Recovered from the most romantically inclined corner of the archive, this vintage gold vermeil necklace pairs Italian craftsmanship with a large lavender glass heart pendant in a combination that is quietly theatrical and entirely wearable.

The pendant is a large heart-shaped glass stone in a soft lavender-violet, cut in a rivoli star facet pattern that fans outward from the centre in a sunburst of flat, mirror-like planes. The effect is less the deep sparkle of a gemstone and more the cool, dreamy luminosity of fine Venetian glass, shifting between pale lilac and soft grey depending on the light. The gold vermeil curb chain is hallmarked 925 ITALY on the clasp, confirming sterling silver with gold plating of Italian manufacture. Measuring 7 inches in length with a spring ring clasp. Offered in excellent vintage condition.
