Description
Crimson ornament and gold scrollwork gather around a small floral medallion, with flashes of blue and green to catch the eye.
This vintage Stratton powder compact is marked “Made in England” on its finely ribbed reverse. The lid carries an intricate red-and-gold geometric and floral design, set within a gold-tone metal case. Inside are a mirror and powder compartment.
It is used and shows age wear. Foxing is visible on the mirror, and a small area of damage can be seen near the edge of the decorated lid. The metal also shows wear at the rim. A used sifter and puff accompany the compact. No slip or box is included. Please inspect the close-up photographs carefully.
