This vintage Stratton powder compact lets colour lead. Its deep blue enamel lid is framed by a repeating stepped gold-tone border, giving the round case a crisp architectural edge without a painted scene or floral flourish. Reflections travel across the glossy blue surface, shifting its appearance with the light.

The reverse combines fine linear texture with small repeating motifs and the Stratton, Made in England mark. Inside, a circular mirror faces the powder compartment. A piece for the collector drawn to strong colour and restrained ornament, with its signs of use left plainly in view.
