While cameos were often carved in soft pinks and corals for daily wear, the striking combination of deep black and bright white was traditionally reserved for periods of remembrance and shadow.

Housed in a beautifully preserved, scalloped brass-toned frame, this high-relief cameo features the classical profile of a woman adorned with flowers. Flipping the piece over reveals a traditional, primitive C-clasp, a true hallmark of antique jewelry that dates this artifact to the turn of the century or earlier.
