Description

A garden carved in brown wood, sheltering a violet-lined treasury beneath its lid.

This vintage wooden jewellery box is richly decorated with flowers, leaves, and curling stems, the carving extending across the lid and sides. An oval panel at the centre of the lid carries pale decorative inlay, offering a quieter focal point within the surrounding floral relief. The warm brown surface and softened edges give the box a comfortably timeworn presence.

Described in the item notes as Anglo-Indian, it is offered here as Anglo-Indian style rather than with a confirmed regional or workshop attribution. Inside, a wooden divider creates two long compartments with purple fabric lining and narrow pale trim. It offers a place for jewellery, letters, or small keepsakes. Jewellery shown in the photographs illustrates its use and is not included.
