This listing secures your custom sourcing consultation and curation retainer. It does not purchase the final relic itself. Once a suitable piece is selected and approved, a separate reserved listing will be created for the remaining balance.

By purchasing this listing, you are securing our dedicated time and expertise to hunt, vet, and acquire specific vintage relics based on our private consultation. Whether you are seeking a 1970s brutalist silver cuff, an antique Georgian mourning ring, or historic wedding bands, we will leverage our network to find the exact pieces that match your vision.

House of Virex: Custom Sourcing & Vault Curation

I. The Curation Retainer

Due to the intensive research, time, and capital required to source authentic precious metals and vintage relics, a £100 non-refundable Curation Retainer is required to open the archives. This listing acts as that retainer. It secures our focused labor on your behalf and is applied directly toward the final balance of your selected relic(s).

II. The Antiquarian Standard & Care

We hunt for genuine, historical artifacts. Authentic vintage pieces carry the marks of their survival, including unique patina and distinct character. Because these are historical items, they require delicate care and are not suited for strenuous wear. The House of Virex is not liable for damage incurred through daily wear and tear after delivery.

III. The Approval Pipeline & Timeline

Because genuine historical relics are often acquired through private estates and specialized auctions, the curation process typically requires a minimum of four to six (4-6) weeks. If you are sourcing for a specific event with a strict deadline, you must declare it at checkout so we can confirm feasibility.

We will present up to three (3) distinct options that align with your aesthetic requests. Where availability allows, clients will have up to 48 hours to approve or decline a presented piece. Because antique and estate items may sell quickly, availability cannot be guaranteed until the final balance is paid.

IV. The Final Invoice & Acquisition

Once your chosen relic is officially approved, we will create a private, reserved listing for your final balance (Total Relic Cost + any selected Restoration bench fees, MINUS this £100 initial retainer). This balance must be cleared within 48 hours of approval to officially secure the piece and begin any requested restoration work.

Failure to clear the final balance within this 48-hour window may result in the forfeiture of your Curation Retainer, and the relic may be released from hold or moved to the general House of Virex inventory.

V. The Verification Standard

For custom relics over £300, professional appraisal or verification may be required to support material identification, age, and condition documentation before final transfer. This provides additional documentation and confidence before purchase.

 VI. Relic Alterations & Restoration

Because vintage collectors have different preferences regarding historical wear, clients must select one of the following delivery standards for their custom relics:

Option A (The Archive Standard):
The relic is delivered exactly as discovered, preserving its original historical patina and its discovered size. The House of Virex does not provide resizing or deep cleaning under this tier. Any future structural alterations or polishing must be handled by your trusted local jeweler,

Option B (The Full Restoration):
For an additional quoted specialty fee, we can arrange professional cleaning, polishing, resizing, or structural work through an appropriate jeweler or specialist. Availability depends on the piece’s age, construction, stones, hallmarks, and condition. Any appraisal, resizing, cleaning, restoration, or shipping fees will be quoted and approved before they are added to the final reserved listing.

Please note: Once a piece has been structurally altered or polished specifically for your commission, the sale is strictly final.

VII. Final Relic Transfer & Customs

Because these items are explicitly hunted, acquired, and potentially altered specifically for your private collection, all custom vault sales are strictly final. International buyers are fully responsible for any customs fees, import taxes, or duties incurred during transit.
