Vintage Stratton Square Powder Compact, Floral Lid, Gold-Tone, Made in England

A little garden blooms across this scalloped square, its flowers gathered around a central medallion.

This vintage Stratton powder compact has a pale lid decorated with a lively floral design in gold, amber, blue and green. The shaped square case has a gold-tone frame and a finely textured reverse. The backstamp includes “Made in England” alongside design-registration and patent wording. Inside are a mirror and powder well.

Although the compact presents neatly, age wear is visible on the metal, particularly to the reverse and edges. It is therefore described as used, not new or unused.
