Vintage Stratton Silver-Plated Powder Compact, Ornate Shield Cartouche, Scalloped Case, New Old Stock, Accessories and Box
Description
Silver-coloured scrolls surround an empty shield, a small heraldic flourish awaiting no name but its next keeper’s.
This vintage Stratton powder compact offers intricate metalwork in place of a painted lid. An unengraved shield-shaped cartouche sits at the centre of curling foliate decoration, bordered by contrasting stippled and finely lined textures. The scalloped outline belongs to the case itself; the shield is a decorative feature on the lid rather than the overall shape.
The exterior is recorded in the item notes as silver-plated, opening to a warm gold-tone interior with a mirror and hinged powder-retaining ring. A fine linear pattern decorates the reverse, which carries the Stratton, Made in England mark. The branded puff and sifter are shown in the photographs, and the seller’s notes also confirm a slip and box are supplied.

New old stock describes its unused status, not an absence of age-related changes. The close-ups show small dark surface marks around the central cartouche and discolouration to parts of the gold-tone interior rim. Please study these details as part of the condition description. No precise manufacture date or original-accessory provenance is claimed.
A silver-clad vanity relic with a touch of heraldic theatre, selected for its next chapter. Carefully nestled in its treasure coffin, a vault relic from Vaen’kai Vault.
