Description

A pale profile turns within a golden garden, a portrait in miniature with roses gathered around it.

This vintage Kigu powder compact centres a cream-coloured cameo profile on an amber-brown ground. Flowing hair and draped clothing give the relief its classical character, framed by a ribbed surround and floral decoration across the round gold-tone lid. The reverse contrasts with a radiating geometric pattern that catches the light in small repeating facets.

Inside, a circular mirror faces a patterned hinged powder cover bearing the triangular Kigu emblem. The Made in England mark is visible on the mirror surround. The seller records this piece as used and in great overall condition, supplied with a puff, sifter, and original Kigu box.

The Particulars

  • Design: Cream-coloured cameo profile on an amber-brown ground, surrounded by floral ornament

The mirror close-up shows two small dark blemishes. The powder well has scattered marks and discolouration, including a larger irregular patch at its base, while the hinge and surrounding metalwork show rubbing, fine scratches, and localised finish wear. Small marks are also visible on the cameo surface. Please examine the close-ups carefully; these imperfections are disclosed alongside the overall condition assessment. The original box is included according to the seller’s notes, but its condition is not assessed from these compact photographs. No precise manufacture date or identification of the portrait subject is claimed.

A portrait-like vanity relic for a keeper drawn to classical detail and the quiet theatre of old dressing-table objects. Carefully nestled in its treasure coffin, a vault relic from Vaen’kai Vault.
