Description

Scotland, mapped in chrome. Still in its box. Waiting for a journey it apparently never took.

A vintage EMU Brand chrome cigarette case in apparently unused new-old-stock condition, preserved with its original purple presentation box and protective insert. One face carries a detailed engraved map of Scotland, with towns and regions named across the outline and a Scottish thistle crest set above a flowing “SCOTLAND” banner. Fine horizontal lines form the background, allowing the raised map details and lettering to catch the light.

The reverse is finished with a restrained all-over engine-turned pattern. Inside, the polished chrome interior retains its original single black elastic cigarette band and edge-mounted clasp mechanism. The manufacturer's EMU Brand mark is stamped internally.

This appears never to have been used, though slight age-related wear and minor storage marks are present from the passage of time. The original presentation box shows more visible rubbing, scuffing, edge wear, and losses to its purple covering; the warm-toned protective insert also shows age. The packaging is included as an important part of the set's surviving presentation.
