Vintage Stratton Empress Powder Compact, Blue Floral Lid, Gold Scroll Decoration, Scalloped Gold-Tone Case
Description
A midnight-blue garden, framed in golden scrolls and gathered into the palm.
This vintage Stratton Empress powder compact carries colourful floral sprays across a deep blue lid, with pink, purple, yellow, and blue blossoms set among green leaves. An ornate gold-coloured border surrounds the flowers, echoing the scalloped outline of the gold-tone case.
Inside, a mirror sits within the lid above the powder compartment. The finely patterned reverse is marked “Stratton, Made in England”, and a patent marking appears beside the hinge. The decorative surface and generous Empress form give it the presence of a miniature dressing-table picture.
